Additive Flow was recently invited to take part in the third edition of the 3D Hubs Engineering summit webinar. It was a privilege to be able to present a number of recent case studies, supported by some of our partners, to highlight how our advanced FormFlow multi-functional optimisation software is contributing to a wide range of manufacturing applications and bringing unprecedented results.
Alexander (CEO) and Charles (CTO) were joined by Daniel Abram from 3DGBIRE and Findhan Strain from Comeragh Composites to demonstrate how the application of FormFlow’s multi property capabilities across very different projects produced optimal outcomes that would not otherwise have been possible. The specific issue of orthotropy (the consideration of how materials are allocated and in what direction) was particularly drawn out to demonstrate the power of FormFlow’s multi physics algorithms for simultaneously reducing manufacturing costs, reducing weight and improving mechanical properties within single applications.
Case studies includes fixed and free geometry multi property optimisations, for AM and injection molding – and covered polymer, composite, and metal optimisations.
